Studland Naturist Beach

As you walk along Shell Bay and continue around the headland the beach becomes a designated naturist area known as Studland Naturist Beach or Studland Nudist Beach. There is a sign marking the start of the beach and another one asking naturists to put their clothes back on as you get closer to Knoll Beach. Within the boundary of the naturist beach you are free to remove your clothes and get an all-over tan. It’s also a public beach so there are plenty of fully clothed people walking along the shore on their way to Studland and Old Harry Rocks or Studland Ferry depending which way you are walking. The beach is part of the South West Coast Path so no need to feel uncomfortable when walking along it. Most naturists keep themselves to themselves at the back of the beach near the sand dunes but you may see a few on the shoreline or coming back from a swim. Please have respect for the naturists and DO NOT TAKE PHOTOS.
