Swanage Railway

Swanage Railway is an award-winning heritage railway with steam trains running every day between April and October and most weekends throughout the year. The 9.5 mile railway runs from Swanage to Norden passing through stunning Purbeck countryside stopping at Herston Halt (request stop), Harmans Cross and the beautiful Corfe Castle. For many people it might be more convenient to start your journey at Norden since there is a big car park (Purbeck Park) and it avoids having to drive through the very busy Corfe Castle which is often a traffic bottleneck particular during the summer holidays.
