Kingston

Kingston Dorset

Kingston is a small village situated about 2 miles south of Corfe Castle. It is notable for its elaborate St. James Church built in 1880 which resembles a miniature of an early English cathedral. Its tower dominates the surrounding landscape. Another reason for visiting Kingston is the Scott Arms pub dating from 1787. This popular pub serves up great food and has one of the best beer gardens in Dorset offering spectacular views of the Purbeck Hills and Corfe Castle.
