Fishermans Walk Beach is a wide sandy beach situated between Southbourne and Boscombe. There’s free parking along the road at the top of the cliffs (Southbourne Overcliff Drive). At the top of the cliff you can also find the Cafe Riva (Google map), a children’s playground and crazy-golf course.

Access to the beach is by way of a long Zig-Zag path or by using the Fisherman’s Walk Cliff-Lift. The cliff-lift runs everyday between Easter and the end of October. (adult single £1.85, child under 16 £1.30, under 5s free, Family 2A+3C £5.95). Visit the web page www.bournemouth.co.uk for up to date information and ticket prices.

Facilities on the beach include lifeguard service (June, July & August), cafe with ice-cream kiosk, toilets and beach office. There are several drinking water taps and beach showers.
The part of the beach to the east (left) of the beach office (bottom of the lifts) is used all year round to exercise dogs so if you want to avoid any dogs it’s recommended to find a spot on the beach to the west of the beach office in the direction of Boscombe Beach.

If you fancy a walk along the promenade it’s about a mile (20 minutes) to Boscombe Beach and about 2.6 miles to Bournemouth Pier (45 minutes). It you get tired there’s always a Land Train running between Boscombe and Bournemouth.
