Description: Hall & Woodhouse trade as Badger Ales. They are the largest brewery in Dorset. They were founded in 1777 in the village of Ansty and moved to Blandford in 1900. They are an independent family brewery.

Description: Family brewery, founded in 1995, relocated to Crossways in Dorchester in 2011 with upgraded spring water-fed brewhouse. The Jurassic Brewhouse has an onsite taproom where you can enjoy a pint or take a crate home.

Lyme Regis Brewery

Description: Founded in 2010 as The Town Mill Brewery in the town centre, moved to larger premises just outside Lyme Regis. Rebranded as Lyme Regis Breweries in 2014. Saved from closure by a change of ownership in 2018 when 4 friends took over the running of the brewery. A new vision and a good range of beers. You can sample the beers before buying at The Tap Room which is still at The Town Mill in Lyme Regis DT7 3PU.

Eight Arch Brewing Company

Description: The company is named after the eight arches of a local Wimborne bridge. Their taproom is a pop-up bar in the brewery open only on Friday evenings 4-8pm.

Description: Founded in 2014 in the belief that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. Using organic barley grown in the Cerne Valley. Sixpenny Brewery

Description: Founded in 2009 by Scott Wayland. Brewery was established in an old dairy building on a farm in Sixpenny Handley. The brewery was moved to bigger premises near Cranborne village in 2016. The restored Victorian barn and stable accommodates the cosy Sixpenny Tap where you can sample the beers and caters for takeaway sales.
Beers: Regular beers: Sixpenny Best (Session Ale 3.8%), Sixpenny Gold (Golden Ale 4%), Sixpenny IPA (IPA 5.2%). Description: Established in 2003 by husband and wife team Jack & Pippa Lightbrown to run the Bankes Arms pub in Studland. The pub beer garden has superb sea views and is the recommended location to sample these beers on a late summer afternoon.
